PASS Alley

Palpation and Sorting Section

The word PASS is an acronym for Palpation And Sorting Section.  By combining our PASS panel and/or our PASS gate with any of our 32″ alley spreaders you can create a 4′ long alley section. The PASS gate can be used for either access to the alley, similar to a palpation cage, or for sorting out of the alley. When the PASS panels are hung on our adjustable alley spreaders it allows the PASS to adjust with the rest of the alley. This is an extremely adaptable section that will work equally well at the beginning, middle or end of any of our cattle working alleys. Use it as a palpation cage. Use it to sort calves out to a calf tipping table. Use it to divert livestock to a loading chute. The choice is yours.

PASS Alley

The PASS Panel (Item 86) and the PASS Gate (item 85) are two of the most versatile items Hi-Hog builds.  These items are at home anywhere you require a short sheeted panel or gate. While they are most commonly used to create an adjustable palpation cage or a working sorting alley they can also be used anywhere a 4′ sheeted panel or gate would be required. Review the drawings at left for some sample ideas. The PASS panel and gate are itemized in red.
