A solid welded 1.9” OD 14-gauge high-tensile steel tubing frame ensures your stalls set up quickly and easily with minimum labor costs.

The four-foot wide door roles silently on custom contoured 4” diameter nylon wheels. The base of the door is held securely in a track with no exposed edges.

The rolling door includes a drop-down window large enough to allow your horse to safely extend it's head into the alley, but not large enough to tempt your horse to jump out of the stall.

All our box stalls use a common connector system so you can easily integrate various stall fronts and partitions. The precision connector system creates a rigid stall system which is safer, quieter, and more durable.

Hi-Hog’s solid welded box-stall components arrive ready to install. Simply pin the fronts to the partitions and slide the wood of your choice into the integrated channels (wood not included).

Hi-Hog’s box stalls can be installed as stand-alone sets or attached directly to the walls of your barn.

If you would like help figuring out what items you will need, we would be happy to provide you with a FREE AutoCAD horse barn design.

The drawing process often reveals considerations that may have been overlooked. We will provide you with a scaled and labeled drawing showing how Hi-Hog’s stalls will fit into your horse barn.

When you are happy with the design we can then provide you with an accurate parts list and quote.

NOTE: if you are planning on creating a stand-alone stall set-up you will require one 3-way post (item 1635) for each stand-alone stall set. (a stand-alone stall set-up does not attach to any walls)

NOTE: for installations into existing horse barns we highly recommend you provide Hi-Hog’s designers with accurate interior dimensions so that our designers can prepare an AutoCAD drawing. Barns are not always built squarely. If a problem does arise, the drawing phase will help us find the right combination of parts to meet your individual requirements... before you order.

NOTE: for new horse barn builds we can prepare an accurate drawing of the stall arrangement you would like so that your builder will have clear instructions for locating and building your new barn walls.

NOTE: if you are planning your own stall layout, you may find Hi-Hog's stall planning guide to be very helpful. This guide includes accurate component measurements and a wealth of tips and considerations.

Open Top Foaling Partitions

If you are considering breeding your horses you may wish to include a foaling stall in your horse barn design.

Because foaling stalls are larger than standard stalls we often include a foaling partition between two standard stalls. Foaling partitions are designed so they can be removed to create a large temporary foaling stall, without compromising the structural integrity of your stall structure. Click on the video link below to see how the foaling partition can be re-located to create a larger stall.

Foaling-Stall-003.wmv

NOTE: If your box stalls are set between wooden posts, you can use Hi-Hog's channel sets to create a custom length, all-plank partition. When you require a larger foaling stall you can simply remove the wood from the partition channels.

If you want to include a foaling partition please be aware that you will also require a foaling tele-post (the tele-post goes in between the stall fronts) and a set of foaling stall brackets (#4062 x 2) at the back wall of the stall.

The foaling tele-post (item 1638) is designed to fasten to the floor of your barn and to the underside of your barn ceiling. The top plate of the tele-post can extend from 8'-1” up to 14’.

If your barn's ceiling is higher than 14’, or if the ceiling does not offer a suitable fastening surface, you will need to add a foaling tele-post spreader (item 1639). The spreader inserts in between the two tele-post sections and travels horizontally to the back wall of your barn.

Removing/storing your foaling partition

Please be aware that your foaling partition will be very heavy once the wood is installed so you will need help or equipment to move the partition safely. Before you unpin your foaling partition, make sure it is securely supported.

If you plan to store the partition in your foaling stall we recommend you include an extra pair of foaling wall brackets (item 4062 x 2) to ensure both ends of your foaling partition are held securely against the back wall of your barn (we do not want your foal to get trapped behind the foaling partition).

The foaling partition wall brackets extend the connector away from the back wall of your barn so you can continue to use these wall brackets to hold one end of the partition when the partition is swung flush against the back wall of your barn.

  • Our open top foaling partitions are available in 10′ and 12′ lengths
  • Custom lengths are available
  • Partitions are 7’ high
  • Heavy duty 1.9″ OD, 14-gauge steel frame provide safety and security for your horse.

The pin connections are designed for both easy setup and a solid finished installation.

Channels are built into the frame to receive your lumber. Simply slide the lumber into the partition channel and secure the last board in place. Designed for 2×6 planed dimensional lumber.

NOTE: Lumber is not included with any of Hi-Hog’s stall frames. We can however let you know how much wood you will require based on your proposed stall order.

Foaling partition parts and options

The space between your stall fronts to accommodate the tele-post is slightly larger than required when using our standard partitions. If you are considering this option please contact our designers and they will provide you with a free, scaled, labelled and dimensioned drawing of your barn proposal.

Custom Length, All Plank Partitions

Custom Length Horse Stall Partitions from Hi-Hog

Custom Length all-plank horse stall partition

When our standard 10′ and 12′ partition lengths will not work in your barn there is a simple and affordable solution. Custom partition lengths can be achieved by combining our Partition Channel Sets (item 4099) with our Partition Strap Sets (Item 4098). Simply cut your lumber to the required length and slide them into the partition channel sets. To tie the individual boards into a rigid wall attach a strapping set to either side of your all custom length all plank partition.

The partition channel set includes one channel designed to bolt to the back wall of your barn and one channel designed to pin in between two box stall fronts.

NOTE: If your partitions need to span from the back wall to the back of a column then you should order the channel set to include two wall channels. When this combination is used to create a partition between two stalls, you can remove the planks in order to create a larger foaling stall.

NOTE: We recommend one strapping set for partitions less than 10′ and 2 strapping sets for partitions up to 14′ in length.

Wall Brackets

Several options to fit your box stall installation

Hi-Hog Equine Box Stalls - wall brackets

Hi-Hog has several different heavy duty wall brackets for you to choose from. Having wall bracket choices can be very helpful when you are attempting to fit your stalls into an existing barn. All brackets include a 1″dia. x 3″ pin collar mounted on a 3/16″ thick plate. The holes on all of the wall brackets have a diameter of 7/16”.

NOTE: wall fasteners are not included as the type and size of fastener you will require depends on the finish of your barn wall.

Standard Wall Brackets
Hi-Hog offers two standard wall brackets. The horizontal wall bracket (4060) is designed for general wall mounting. The bracket is 6" wide by 4" in height. Before ordering this item check the install location to ensure you have room for this bracket to be installed without interfering existing barn features such as door and window frames, electrical, etc. If you have interference you can use the vertical bracket (4061) which is 4” wide by 6” high.

Foaling Wall Brackets
The foaling bracket (Item 4062) is designed to position the pin point a little further from the wall. This allows a partition which is normally perpendicular to the wall to be rotated flat against the wall.

In some cases, such as when you are faced with an opening that is slightly larger than the standard stall dimensions you might be able to use these connectors at one end, or both ends, to fill the gap without having to order custom stall components.

Offset Wall Brackets

Hi-Hog offset wall brackets for your horse stall installation

Offset Horse Stall Wall Brackets

This bracket is designed for mounting stall fronts to the front face of a post. The wall plate is 3″ wide and 5″ tall. The offset of the connector sleeve allows two brackets to overlap. This provides flexibility when mounting consecutive stall fronts mounted on the face of the same post.

The offset wall bracket is also sometimes used when the pin location is right in the corner or right at the end of the wall. In this case, the pin collar can be located where you need while the offset support plate can still be secured to the wall.

The 7′ high box stall 3-way post is only required when you are setting up your box stalls independent of the wall. If this is what you plan to do you will require one 3-way post for each set of box stalls.
Stalls can be set up as a single run of stalls or as a run of back-to-back stalls.
